Studies show that using white vinegar, mixed with simple table salt, as a cleaner, can be an effective way to kill off the harmful bacteria, like E. Coli, found on kitchen surfaces.

The white vinegar is acidic, and, when mixed with salt, the combination is extremely effective for the prevention of bacterial food poisoning.

The mixture is also a brilliant alternative to laundry detergents and conditioners.  The vinegar removes stains and softens clothes, removing the need for laundry conditioner, and the salt is also an effective stain remover. Use half a cup of distilled white vinegar, with a couple of teaspoons of salt, either in a container that you put in the drum with your clothes, or into the drawer of your washing machine.
