That commitment will benefit you for the rest of your life, but I understand it can be overwhelming knowing where to start. And, that’s what I’m here for.

My search for wellness was sparked by ill-health in my family. You can read more about my story here. I knew that something had to change, so I drew on the knowledge and research skills I’d gained from my BSc (Hons) in Human Genetics and began to investigate what answers the world of science could provide.

Through this I was able to transform our lives and for the first time in decades we were able to walk the path towards wellness and away from disease.

It seemed like a miracle and I wanted to share it with everyone, but I needed to convince my inner sceptical scientist that what happened was not just a coincidence or something that might only benefit the two of us. So, I spent the next 18 months reading over 3000 research papers!

From there began my mission to share research-proven information about health and mindfulness, in a way that is accessible to everyone.

Now, as a Wellness teacher, Mindfulness MBCT-for-Life teacher, author and speaker, I’m lucky enough to get to do something I’m passionate about and make a huge difference to people’s lives. It’s amazing.

I still place a huge emphasis on ensuring my knowledge is up-to-date, so I make a point of reading research papers every day, as well as regularly completing training with a variety of organisations. You can read more about my qualifications and memberships at the bottom of the page.

As well as my BSc (Hons) degree in Human Genetics (which includes advanced genetics, physiology, anatomy, neuroscience, medical genetics, cancer genetics, immunology, biochemistry, pharmacology and microbiology) and GDL Grad Dip Law, I’ve been very busy over the last few years training with the NHS and leading Oxford trainers of MBCT to become an MBCT-for-Life Mindfulness teacher.

MBCT was originally created to treat people with depression, but it soon became apparent that it can benefit everyone. Who couldn’t do with a little calm in their life?

I’m also qualified in Interpersonal Neurobiology and Mindsight, and trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) by Saki Santorelli and Florence Meleo-Meyer, online.

MBSR was introduced into the field of medicine in 1979 by Jon Kabat-Zinn and is very helpful for people who have chronic pain. The Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) course that I trained in uses the same mindfulness practices but also includes simple guided reflection, done as a group rather than as individuals, and it is a class rather than therapy. I absolutely adore it and it has transformed my life.

In 2018, I trained with Optibac after researching the company and the studies behind the specific strains that they use in their probiotics. I both use and recommend their probiotics, and now keep them in stock for my clients. I receive regular CPD on latest research.
